Healing after Loss
by Martha W. Hickman
Daily meditations for working through grief
This book has been a favorite of mine for almost 20 years. Ms. Hickman is able to express the unexplainable in an eloquent and beautiful way. Her words are comforting and inspiring and life-giving.
The short readings are helpful giving me some support and thoughts to start the day. Deep grief is a process to live thru and grow from. Moving forward while still grieving is the only way out.
Grief is different for everyone. This is helpful being a page a day. I don’t read it every day but I pick it up on the harder days. For me, it helps. It’s much easier than having to read through a full book about grief while I’m living it.
