Bearing the Unbearable.

You Don’t Have to Do It Alone.

A 6-Month Healing Journey with Jennifer Hacker. Your Grief Companion.

Because Your Grief Deserves More Than Silence.

Hi, I’m Jennifer Hacker
I cannot say enough about how much this program has helped me through one of the most challenging times of my life. As a hospice nurse, I thought I understood grief. But losing my husband brought a level of pain and loneliness I wasn’t prepared for. This program became a lifeline when I needed it most.
Valerie V.

Does it feel like you’re just existing… and wondering what you’re supposed to be doing with your life?

There are days you can smile and connect with others, but then there are days when even getting out of bed feels impossible.

You try to explain, but people don’t seem to understand. Even if some of them don’t say it out loud, friends and family wonder, “Aren’t you better yet?” as if grief comes with an expiration date.

The world keeps spinning, but you’re stuck—numb, empty, and like you’ve lost your direction and purpose.

I understand. I’ve been there..

grief companion program

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.

“I’m tired of pretending I’m okay to make everyone else feel better.”

“Why does everything feel like a chore?”

“It’s been years, and I still feel stuck—what’s wrong with me?”

“I want to talk about him, but it makes people uncomfortable.”

Grief isn’t something you “get over.” It’s something you must learn to live with—and healing isn’t about forgetting. It’s about being able to remember with a smile instead of feeling a knife in the heart.

The truth? Healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.

 Imagine if…

  • You had a safe space to talk about your loved one without judgment.
  • Someone listened–really listened–without trying to fix you.
  • You had purpose and energy again.
  • You felt hopeful and looked forward to creating new memories instead of being stuck and afraid.

Introducing a 6-Month Healing Journey with Jennifer Hacker

Personalized human responses

I read every email as you share your thoughts, emotions, memories, and challenges. And I reply with customized feedback. This isn’t a one-way conversation—I’m here for you.

A safe, confidential space

Our interactions are confidential and judgment free. You can be completely honest knowing you are safe, accepted, and loved… the environment you need to heal and grow.

These messages give me new perspectives on grief and I truly appreciate it.
They help me stop and think about things instead of pushing things away. I’m learning to let my grief have more space.

Why Trust Me as Your Guide?

Hi, I’m Jennifer …

I’m a Certified Life Coach and Grief Specialist. In 2003, my world shattered when my infant son went down for a nap at the babysitter’s house and never woke up. I thought I’d never be happy again.

I tried everything—therapy, support groups, journaling—but healing from a devastating loss doesn’t happen quickly or easily. For years, I carried the pain in silence, pretending I was okay.

It wasn’t until 17 years later that I had a breakthrough—finally learning how to honor my grief instead of running, hiding, and fearing being consumed by it. That’s when I knew I had to help others navigate this journey.

With my professional training and life experience, I’m here to walk with you through the hardest days and guide you toward healing—at your pace, on your terms.

What’s In This Program?

This isn’t just an email series.

It’s a 6-month interactive healing journey designed to help you navigate your grief with compassion, understanding, and real, personalized support.

Weekly Emails

Each week, you’ll receive an in-depth email addressing the many facets of grief, offering guidance and hope, and providing practical tools to help you feel significantly better, less anxious about the future, and more confident in your ability to figure out how to create a happy and meaningful life after loss.

Personalized Responses

Your journey is unique, and so are my responses. You’ll have the opportunity to share your story, thoughts, fears, and progress with me directly. I’ll reply with personalized insights and encouragement tailored to where you are in your healing process.

A Safe, Supportive, Confidential Space

Whether you’re in the first year(s) of grief or have been carrying the weight of loss for a decade, this program is designed to meet you where you are. It’s a space where you can be honest, vulnerable, and fully yourself without fear of judgment.

Thinking about doing something to feel better might feel conflicting …
Maybe you don’t want  to feel better because…

  • If you feel better, it means you’re forgetting your loved one.
  • It makes you feel guilty.
  • Holding on to the pain is the only way to stay connected to your loved one.

It’s perfectly understandable to feel ALL these things.

But, it’s important to note…

  • You can feel better AND remember.
  • Your connection with your loved one will not be lost as you heal.

There’s someone out there (probably lots more than one) who loves you and wants you to feel better … Who wants you to muster up a little bit of courage and take a small step so you can start healing. If you won’t do it for yourself, will you do it for that someone who loves you?

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on how much you feel like sharing. I imagine there will be weeks when you want to vent and unburden yourself about any number of things and those weeks you may spend an hour or more letting it all out. There may be weeks when you’re tired (or extra busy) and then you will likely send a short reply. It’s totally up to how you feel in the moment. Budget anywhere between ten minutes and an hour. The choice is yours.

Absolutely. That’s precisely what you’re getting in this program. Every week, I will create space for you, read every word you write and send you a thoughtful reply, with guidance and answers to your questions, if you have them. My replies will NOT be textbook length. You can expect a few sentences or paragraphs back from me, personalized for you, every single week.

This program is 100% organic, free-range and human-powered. You are entering into private correspondence with me. No bots, cookie-cutter answers, or AI-generated responses anywhere. Real communication and relationship. Human to human.

As a certified coach and grief specialist, I am bound by rules of my profession (and also by my own ethics) that all interactions remain 100% confidential. The ONLY exceptions are if 1) I have reason to believe you are seriously considering harming yourself or 2) I have reason to believe you are seriously considering harming another person.

Nothing. You’ll be added as a contact in my address book. That’s it. See above re: confidentiality.

I’m not a therapist or a counselor. I’m certified by the ICF-credentialed Life Purpose Institute as a Life Coach and by The Grief Recovery Institute as a Grief Recovery Specialist. I have 7 years of experience in the personal development space helping clients establish and achieve their goals in all areas – finance, relationships, career, physical health, parenting, etc. And I have 5 years of experience working with clients in grief.

It is possible. But I haven’t had a single client thus far who experienced feeling worse than before we started working together.. They report feeling sad and crying at times (which was already the case) but also feeling relieved and hopeful. Every client has described their experience much like this: “I felt an immediate release… and it’s sustained.”

This program is different in several key ways:

  1. It isn’t a group program. This is personal and 1:1 between you and me.
  2. It’s easily accessible in terms of cost and time commitment.
  3. It doesn’t require you to attend meetings or get on zoom calls. You receive personalized messages and responses at your convenience.

When you sign up today, you will receive an email with instructions on how to get started in the program. You don’t need a password for anything, you don’t need to download any resources or materials, there is no Facebook group to join 🙂 Every week you’ll get an email from me that you reply to. It literally couldn’t be easier.

There’s no curriculum, homework or study materials. It’s like having a penpal in your grief, with pointers and suggestions for taking the best care of you.

Poor past experiences is a problem for many grievers. While many counselors and coaches don’t understand grief and therefore seem to have no compassion, most grief specialists seek certification because they have personally experienced one or more losses in their own lives. They are extremely compassionate and understanding. And they know better than to talk about “moving on” and “not living in the past” as they understand these comments are triggering and insensitive.

Yes. The length of time we grieve does not necessarily correlate to how much we may have healed. Many grievers find themselves feeling incredibly isolated and without anyone to talk to, they hold and store the pain rather than express and release it. This program was created specifically for grievers who have not found a group, therapist, family member, or anyone else they can talk to who understands. And for some people, that means they’ve been feeling very alone and misunderstood and stuck for years and years.

Grief coaching is my primary focus but I’m also a life coach, business owner, accountant, single mom, and I have a son with a developmental disorder. My life experiences have given me knowledge in many areas and I’m here to support you in any area you want to pursue. If you want to talk about parenting, relationships, work or anything else, please do.

Research shows there is tremendous benefit and increased results when writing versus speaking. I encourage you to give it a try. But if you really don’t want to write, there’s a free app called Voxer that will allow you to record audio messages and send them to me and I can send either an audio or written response back to you, whichever you prefer.

Don’t worry. Pick up where you left off. There’s no judgment. Some weeks you’ll be on vacation. Other weeks you mayl drop the ball. It’s ok. It’s not school. There are no grades.

It’s $100 a month for six months. That’s the minimum commitment. (If you pay in full, you receive a 12.5% discount and make one payment of $525.) If you love it you can extend. Grief takes time. You can’t sprint through it and you can’t be behind in your own journey.

If, after the first 30 days, you feel this program isn’t the right fit for you, I offer a no-questions-asked refund. Your healing is what truly matters, and I want you to feel fully supported in this decision.
